023 – How My Family Almost Died

Carbon Monoxide almost killed my family

Today I’m talking about why

it’s important to slow down

BEFORE you have a near-death experience

When I called the gas company out because of a funny smell I noticed when my oven was on, I had no idea we’d been exposed to carbon monoxide for the past year. Not only that, but there was more danger lurking in my home that was equally deadly.

It’s made me realize how lucky I am to be here. Those errands I had last week that drove me nuts I’m enjoying this week! Why? Because if I wasn’t here, someone else would be taking my kids to their appointments. Wiping their tears. Living my life. I’m so happy to have my life!

Are you happy with yours? What would it take for you to be happy? Take some time to slow down & figure that out. Today. This is your one life. Don’t wish it away with, “I’ll be happy when I have a bigger house, or when I’m thinner, or when I’m healthier.” Now is all you’re promised. Join me in loving this crazy chronic life!

Don’t wait until something happens.  I never thought we’d have a carbon monoxide leak, especially since we’d bought a brand new detector when we bought our new home, and they’re supposed to last 10 years!  What I don’t want, is for you to live in fear.  I do want you to see the beauty around you and LIVE today.
